1950: Founded by the doctor and pharmacist Günther Kerstein, grandfather of the current owner, production of own pharmaceutical products.
1970: at the end of the 1960´s the original building sbecame to small, and the Kerstein family acquired a industrial real estate. At the new premises the production started with enhanced facilities. In the following years the compnay specialised in manufacturing parenterals.
The core of the production facilities is the aseptic manufaturing of highly effective pharmaceutical products such as anaesthetics, flammable liquids, suspensions, oily solutions and cold chain products.
1986: hameln pharma passed the inspection by the American FDA (Food and Drug Administration) and gains access to the market outside Europe.
2005: The company keeps on changing: In order to be able to focus better on the customer´s needs two offshoot companies are created: hameln rds (research and registration services for the healthcare industry) and hameln plus (worldwide distribution of generic products for acute medicine).
hameln pharma developes consistently its strategy as a customer focussed company.
